Lori contacted us to make a 1/3 page ad for Vanidades
magazine. She had an existing logo and identity
and supplied us with several photos of her products.
She left it up to us to put it all together into
something that worked.
Challenge: Vanidades magazine is very
colorful, from their articles to their ads. Our
challenge was to compete with that intensity and
create an ad that would draw the eye to it.
Solution: We chose contrast as a main
strategy and composed a soft, muted image that
stands out because of its calm. The secondary
strategy was gentle motion. The eye lands on the
"hg" name first. The pearls lead the
eye down to some of their soft-toned products,
and finally to the main message of the ad: Contact
hg.
Result: The ad was a great success and
generated many contacts.
