Case Study
lil' kahunas: New identity and website
|
BACKGROUND
|
|
Peggy was in a panic. She had scheduled a magazine
ad, anticipating that her website would be live
by the run date. But it was evident that it would
not be ready, and she was greatly disappointed
with the website that her current developer was
creating for her. It was slow to load, navigation
was difficult and the presentation lacked style
and creativity.

|
|
CHALLENGE
|
|
lil' kahunas needed a corporate identity and
complete website redesign within 30 days.
|
|
|
SOLUTION
|
|
One look at a new logo and website draft, and
a promise that her website would be lovely and
live within 2 weeks began to convince Peggy that
all would be well. lil' kahunas clothing is adorable
and was a natural inspiration for the playful
logo and friendly new atmosphere within the website.
The old website had been produced with Flash software.
The new site would be simple, fast-loading HTML
with clear navigation to the point of sale. Page
layout would be simple as well, to help keep update
expenses down when inventory changes.

RESULT
|
|
We were conscientious about posting the new pages
as they were created so that the client could
view the progress and become confident that the
website would be finished on time. From start
to finish, the lil' kahunas website was completed
in 14 days. The client was thrilled...
"OH YES!!!! It's too perfect! Once again,
you have outdone yourself. The on-line ad in
Twins Magazine will be up and running by the
end of the week. And, thanks to you, I have
MADE THE DEADLINE for the hard ad in the March/April
edition of the Magazine. It has over 40,000
copies that will go out..."
