lovevolve doesn't just sell clever T-shirts.
Their core mission is to deliver a concept...
that love enables personal transformation and
human evolution and connects all of creation.
A simple act of love, such as a smile from one
person to another, creates a ripple effect that
can be passed on... and on... and on... Their
shirt designs communicate this concept simply
and brilliantly (and the shirts are soooo soft
and comfy!).
Challenge: lovevolve needed a logo and
website design that expresses their mission as
simply as their shirts do. They wanted to deliver
this message subtly, without being "preachy",
yet they wanted the message to be clear. They
wanted their image to be as strong and powerful
as the concept of love.
Solution: A Zen garden immediately came
to mind. Zen "dry" gardens are very
simple but, when meditated upon, convey deep messages.
These gardens are traditionally composed of large
rocks and gravel. The gravel is raked into ripples
and waves to form the impression of islands in
an ocean. The ripples and waves extend outward
to touch each island in the composition. This
theme was an ideal representation of the lovevolve
mission and conveys the tone of their products:
outwardly simple designs with powerful messages.
We created the lovevolve identity, logo and website
design based on the Zen "dry" garden
theme. We delivered the website templates to a
programmer who will create a Shopping Cart system,
User Authentication system, a Content Management
System so that lovevolve can edit and maintain
the site themselves, and provide an updatable
Product Listing so that lovevolve can add or remove
products as their inventory changes.
Result: Extremely effective branding helps
the public associate the lovevolve message and
products with deep meaning and purpose. The website
is a direct reflection of that identity and creates
a memorable impression through its carefully orchestrated
presentation and ease of use.
