Case Study
Mobrand Biometrics, Inc.: New identity and website
|
BACKGROUND
|
|
Mobrand Biometrics, Inc., in conjuction with
the Pacific Northwest Power Planning Council,
will offer an online Ecosystems Diagnosis and
Treatment (EDT) application. EDT Online will offer
a practical, science-based approach for developing
and implementing watershed plans, providing decision-makers
with the technical information needed to develop
healthy ecosystems with thriving fish populations.

CHALLENGE
|
|
Yes, the task is as technical and complex as
it sounds. Several different activities and a
tremendous amount of data will be available to
the educated professionals who will use the site,
so managing the workflow and user interface was
a daunting task. Mobrand wisely contacted Server
Side Software for the job. Server Side Software
would develop a thoroughly detailed Project Specification
Document to outline the workflow and user activities
that will be produced for the site. Server Side
Software subcontracted us to create the Look and
Feel, logo design and user interface design, and
to produce the site templates and webpages.

|
SOLUTION
|
|
Using the Specs as a guide, we created the site
navigation, page layouts and Graphical User Interface
for the many forms within the application. We
designed the site Look & Feel to appeal to
a wide audience and to load quickly on slow connections.
The resulting "mockups" were brilliantly
coded by Server
Side Software to provide the complex functionality.

|
RESULT
|
|
Feedback from the Northwest Power Planning Council
was enthusiastic. Mobrand was so thrilled with
the results,
they hired us again to update the Home page with
a fresh look and add an interactive Flash map,
and to redesign their corporate
site.
