Ruiz Sales is a family owned and operated business
that distributes fresh fruit and vegetables to
leading chain stores. In 2004 they requested a
simple "brochure" site that would present
information about their services to potential
customers. This was a toe in the water project.
They had never had a website before and were testing
the waters to see how it, and Genesis Box, would
work out for them.
The next year they hired us to create a full
identity for them, including a logo and website
redesign. They gave us full artistic freedom this
time to create an effective website with memorable
branding.
Challenge: The Ruiz family is very proud
of their hispanic heritage and wanted that communicated
in some way. They also wanted a friendly "place"
that communicated their dedication to customer
and community service.
Solution: We designed an image of a proud
hispanic woman for their logo. Since they distribute
produce it was a natural to include fruit in her
basket, which she proudly delivers to her customers.
The website takes full advantage of the web as
a unique marketing tool: A frequently updated
Recipes section is a brilliant way to demonstrate
their willingness to go that extra mile and encourages
repeat visits to keep Ruiz
Sales in the forefront of their customers'
memory. The website also provides information
about fruit nutrition, use and storage, and encourages
a click to the 5-a-day website for further nutritional
guidance.
Ruiz Sales is a corporation with a conscience.
